Hilton Hotel Erbil

Hilton Hotel Erbil

Project Overview

Location

Erbil, Iraq

Project Type

Upscale Business Hotel

A contemporary luxury resort in Erbil that blends traditional Arabic architectural character with a relaxed and sophisticated hospitality experience. Set against the backdrop of the Safin and Sork mountains, the design is carefully integrated with the landscape, creating a distinctive destination centred around a landscaped oasis and a sequence of intimate courtyards, water features, and lush gardens.

The resort brings together a 316-room hotel, exclusive executive villas, a spa, ballroom and conference facilities, and a diverse collection of dining and leisure experiences. The architectural language combines rendered façades, stone bases, elegant arches, timber screens, and carefully proportioned openings, creating a contemporary interpretation of regional character.

The arrival experience is conceived as a gradual procession through the landscaped grounds, leading guests from the entrance through the hotel lobby towards the central Oasis, where pools, gardens, and framed views of the surrounding mountains form the heart of the resort. The executive villas are arranged within private landscaped clusters, offering a more intimate experience with individual pools and gardens, while dedicated buggy routes provide seamless connections throughout the property.

A strong emphasis on hospitality and sense of place continues throughout the interiors, where Arabic-inspired detailing, natural materials, water elements, and carefully framed views create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Together, the architecture, landscape, leisure, and dining experiences establish a distinctive resort environment that combines contemporary luxury with the cultural identity of Erbil.
